As a staff travel reporter, photographer and editor for USA Today and other major publications, I visited seven continents and nearly 100 countries over a journalism career spanning more than three decades. These days, my husband John and I stoke our wanderlust by alternating between the road and a home in the UNESCO World Heritage site of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. My favorite place is still a window seat (or, in this case, the cockpit of a high-performance Pitts S-2C), headed somewhere I've never been.
